My Journey Past Breast Cancer: And The Winner Is...

And now that treatment is nearly one year behind me, it's time to log in some of the fun stuff; rather than just talk of cancer and doctors.

LIVESTRONG: I am strong. I am loved. I am healthy. WE WILL WIN!

Have you or your loved one had their annual mammogram? PLEASE, don't put it off. Speaking from experience, I highly recommend monthly self exam as well.

WARNING: Contents may be uplifting, sad, funny, scary, downright depressing ~ THAT IS CANCER .... at it's best, at its worst.

PLEASE ~ Feel free to share this blog with anyone who is interested to learn about my journey. While I welcome their support, I hope that by sharing this experience freely to the universe I may help to support others by breaking down some of the barriers and fear associated with breast cancer and the treatment.

And The Winner Is...

Thank you for the votes for Healthlines "Best Health Blog of 2012" contest.

Competition was very stiff and I would like to congratulate Ann Silberman of But Doctor I hate Pink's blog, who is the grand prize winner and a daily blogger. Healthline describes Ann as, "a self-described “metastatic breast cancer ass-kicker in stilettos and denim” doesn’t dislike the color pink, but you won’t catch her wearing a ribbon. The 54-year-old mother of two from Sacramento has been documenting her terminal battle with breast cancer since she was diagnosed in September 2009 on her blog." Ann has quite a following and won by a landslide.

I follow Ann pretty regularly on her blog and on Facebook and she is one tough cookie who is not about to let cancer get her down, although it has given her a real run of it. Check out more about Ann on her blog above, or Here on Healthlink.
