Today is a bittersweet moment for me as we have all lost another cancer friend who fought valiantly against cancer, as best her frail little body could.
Debbi Chapman Dempsey, lost her battle with cancer yesterday. Bittersweet because someone special has left us all, and because an angel is now free of pain and amongst us.
Debbi and I connected online as we were both fighting cancer at the time. We both were blogging our experiences at the time, she as
A Too Sassy Gal, and she posted many words of support for me. But she found it more challenging to keep up her Blog as of about a year ago, so then I followed her via
her journey on Facebook and ached at all her pain and struggles, especially this last year.
Debbi had a very strong faith in the Lord and was so very positive and supportive to so many. If you Google her name and "cancer" you will see that she followed many blogs and frequently posted words of love, support, and encouragement. Then, not only did she struggle so, but she watched her grown children also struggle with serious ailments of their own. Oh how strong she was to carry on as she did, through hospitalizations, complications, and such.
Debbi enjoyed one last wonderful Christmas with her family and then she left this world.
May you be at peace sweet
Debbi, and watch over your family and friends with the love and spirit you expressed all through your valiant battle. I know you will be looking down on many and act as their Guardian Angels to see them through all the bumps in the road of life.
